More than a year ago, The Post and Courier launched a new feature in its People section called "Photo pick of the week." The idea was to showcase the visual side of living in the Lowcountry through the eyes of the people who call this beautiful place home.
Each week a group of editors declares a new topic or "assignment" and invites readers to submit their photos. Then we huddle, debate and agonize over the photos we like best. This spring, we focused the weekly topics specifically to reflect some of the content of this magazine.
As a result, we are thrilled to include many of those reader photos within this edition, including all of the pictures on this page and the cover photo as well. It's been a terrific and ongoing project that continues to produce amazing photos. To see all of the readers' galleries from the past year, go to postandcourier.com/yourphotos.
Thank you for being a part of this My Charleston.
